NetVault — Wi-Fi file server for Android
Our own Google Play app: turns an Android phone or tablet into a secure FTP, FTPS, SFTP and WebDAV server, in a free ad-supported edition and a paid NetVault Pro.
Moving photos and documents between a phone and a PC still means cables, cloud uploads or dated FTP apps that are insecure, break on modern Android versions and leave the purchase of a 'Pro' version easy to pirate with a modified APK.
- Build one clean-architecture Kotlin codebase that produces two separate apps: NetVault (free) and NetVault Pro (paid)
- Run FTP, FTPS, SFTP and WebDAV engines in a foreground service that works on Wi-Fi and in hotspot mode
- Show ads in the free app only after IAB TCF / GDPR consent, and none at all in Pro
- Verify every Pro install with Google Play Integrity and our own signed-licence server on Google Cloud Run
- Material 3 Android app with dark mode, tablet layout, QR connect and a live speed graph
- Multiple shared folders, accounts with per-folder permissions, SSH keys and an IP allow-list
- Automatic sync rules triggered by Wi-Fi, schedule, hotspot or Tasker
- Kotlin/Ktor licence server deployed on Google Cloud Run with signed, device-bound licences
- Files move between phone and computer at Wi-Fi speed, no cable or cloud needed
- Pro features only unlock on genuine copies bought on Google Play
- One codebase ships and updates both store listings
